Tiger! Tiger!

A poor man lived in a village. He had one son. The man used to go and cut the wood from a nearby forest and sell it daily. This is how he was sustaining his family. The son also used to accompany his father to the forest. Apart from them, other people were also going to the forest to cut the wood.
One day, while in the forest, the boy thought of playing a mischief. He started shouting loudly saying Tiger! Tiger! Hearing the voice, all wood cutters came running to the boy but they did not find any tiger. Then the boy laughed at them and said that he had shouted just as a joke. All the people laughed at his childish act and went back to their work. Next day, again the boy shouted loudly saying Tiger! Tiger! Again, all the people came running to him but did not find any tiger there. The boy laughed again and repeated the same words as of last day. People again went back. Third day, really a big tiger came. The boy was afraid by seeing the tiger and shouted loudly saying Tiger! Tiger! But this time nobody came because they thought that the child must be shouting just as a joke. When they came to know that the tiger had really came, they went to save the boy but by the time they could reach, the boy had been terribly injured by the tiger.

Spiritual Significance: – This is a moral story that teaches us that those who speak lies and play mischiefs with others have to suffer. But Baba gives its essence in a different way. Through this story, Baba presents a warning. Here the tiger has been compared with the forthcoming dreadful destruction of the present devilish world. As Baba’s children we know about the forthcoming destruction. Therefore, we try to warn the people about it and request them to make themselves spiritually powerful by practising Godly knowledge and Rajyoga Meditation. But as there is no practical proof for the destruction, people do not believe in our words especially when they see that no destruction has taken place even though the Brahma Kumaris have been talking about it for the last so many years. But when the tiger comes i.e., when the final destruction actually takes place, people would be unprepared to face it due to the lack of protection of Godly knowledge and yoga power. Such people will not be able to attain the Fruition from God. They will only repent and feel sorry for themselves for not being able to do anything despite getting the repeated message of God through the Brahma Kumaris.
