The Story of Two monkeys

There is a story behind the proverb – Two monkeys fought and the third monkey got the butter.

The story goes like this: Once upon a time, two cats, which were very good friends went for a walk. While walking on the streets, they found a loaf of bread. They both wanted to have the bread as they were very hungry. So, they began to fight over it. One cat said, “I found it first, its mine.” Another cat said, “No, I found it first, give it to me.” A clever monkey, which also wanted to have the bread, deliberately split it into two uneven pieces. Now, one piece was larger than the other. So, it took a bite from the larger piece, which in turn made the other piece look big. And so, it took a bite from the other piece. This continued till the monkey finished the whole loaf of bread and the two foolish cats were left with nothing.

Spiritual Significance:- When you quarrel, someone else gains. When two people fight, the third one gets the profit. To attain World Sovereignty, different countries are fighting amongst themselves but none of them will be able to attain power over the whole world because Baba says that World Sovereignty can be attained only through the Power of Yoga and not through physical power. Hence, the cats (countries) are quarrelling for the bread/butter (World Sovereignty) while Baba’s children will attain this silently through the Power of Yoga.
